My little rant on fee for service real estate
While this might be useful to people who are not familiar with real estate, this does come at a cost. Depending on the real estate broker their commission could be as costly as seven percent of the selling price. As real estate is a large investment, real estate commission can add up in the traditional model. You can save money by selling the house by yourself, but that also means you have to take care of all of the details that an agent would have dealt with. If you feel that you can take care of parts of the selling process but want some help then you may choose to use a flat fee real estate commission.
