On the functional basis there are seven categories of the dog breeds including; Companion dogs, Guard dogs, Hunting dogs, Pastoral dogs, Sled dogs, Extinct dogs, Hypoallergenic breeds and Police dog breeds. A companion dog is a pet and it is not used for work or specific tasks. These dogs are friendly by nature therefore, dog lovers keep them as a hobby or for fun. The dogs which are aimed to provide safety against the unwanted people are known as guard dogs. This dog breed has the feature that they bark to make the owner alert and active.
