Birth announcements should go to family and close friends and friends of the happy grandparents and to anyone who has already sent a gift to the new parents. The information on birth announcements should include, at minimum, the names of the baby and proud parents and siblings (if any) and baby birth statistics like length, weight and birth date. Birth announcements etiquette also dictates that they be sent any time up to six months after the birth, so you will have time after the baby arrives to finalize and send them out.
